Wheels spinning beneath crystal blue skies, fresh air flying past rosy faces, joyful giggles beneath vibrant green trees — these are the moments that are essential to preserve and protect for generations to come.

Freedom to Explore

We know that life is best when it’s experienced on two wheels. When someone (kid or adult) rides a bike, they’re free to take in all the awe-inspiring wonders that make our planet so unique. On a bike, you have absolute freedom to explore and have unforgettable experiences with friends and family.

Without actionable change, we know the kids of the future wouldn’t be able to have these same life-changing experiences that we do now — that’s why we’re doing our part at Strider to ensure the Earth stays clean and green for the Strider riders of today and tomorrow.

Single Use Plastic

Less Single-Use Plastic

Getting beautiful, brand-new Strider bikes to you and your kiddos so we can help spark that lifetime passion for bike riding and outdoor activity is our #1 goal; however, unnecessary waste was created in our effort to make that a reality. Luckily, since 2014 Strider has been phasing out single-use plastic packaging while ensuring you and your superstar tots still receive your bike in pristine condition.

These improvements have now resulted in a reduction of over 300,000 pounds of plastic waste in eleven years of bike-riding magic for over 2 million kids! For all the kiddos at home reading over a shoulder right now, that’s approximately 214,285 basketballs, or 4,285 golden retrievers, or 1.4 million dolls — or, in other words, about how many veggies are on your plate at dinner time.

Efficiency

Efficiency for You and the Planet

We love it when our products are made efficiently because it benefits everyone. When we make our amazing bikes and accessories for your family, we are always working to make everything better than it was before. We take your feedback and enhance what we can so your little rider can flourish. Over the years, this has included our packaging as well.

With the rollout of smaller, more compact packaging for all Strider 12 Balance Bikes, we were able to fit over double the number of bikes in a single shipping container. For us and the planet, that adds up to 113 fewer shipping containers since 2020, reducing our carbon emissions by 15%! For you and your rockstar rider, that means cleaner air and the best possible price when you buy the #1 best-selling balance bike.

Smaller packages also mean it’s easier to gift a Strider bike! Whether you’re wrapping a baby shower gift for a new mom, carefully tucking a holiday present into the car, or shipping a bike off to an eager kiddo for their birthday, our smaller boxes make a big impact for everyone.

Durable Bikes for Years of Fun

Durable Bikes for Years of Fun

Nothing lasts forever, but we know the world is better when we try our best to make that a reality! By consistently upgrading our bikes with more durable parts and accessories, we’re able to ensure that your child’s first bike can withstand a serious beating and be used for more than just one happy little ripper throughout the years. Our stuff is tough and everything we make has a lifespan that leaves cheaper alternatives in the dust.

Over the years, we’ve done the work to upgrade to hardier wheels with sealed bearings for smoother rides, comfortable seats that don’t shed plastic or shred under fearless toddler butts, cushioned grips that could withstand hundreds of spills or epic bike drops, and powder-coated frames that hold up better to dents, scuffs, and scratches.

The Future

The Future

The Strider team is never satisfied with the status quo — after all, we got our start by our founder Ryan McFarland’s desire to innovate beyond traditional bike riding! As we look to the future ahead, we know there are still plenty of strides we can take to make an even greater environmental impact.

Fully recyclable packaging is in the works at Strider HQ, along with changes that will eliminate single-use plastic in 14x and 20x Bikes. The best part? We know there are still great improvements to come that will better our bikes, the development of millions of babies and toddlers, and the generations of bike-crazy kids to come.

With more bike fanatics in the world, we create a healthier, happier, and more sustainable world. More people on bikes reduces our carbon footprint and keeps us healthier and more connected with our world in the process. While you’re teaching your toddler to ride, try some of our STEAM activities to help foster their curiosity for the world around them and build up their love for outdoor movement.
