Staff Trail Ride

Written by
STRIDER Staff went for an outing in the beautiful Black Hills last weekend.  The trail was lush and winding, the creek was babbling,  and the poison ivy was very abundant. Thankfully we all walked away rash free.  After the ride we were rewarded with some of the best burgers in the Midwest at the Sugar Shack.   I love that our office has truly transferred the passion of biking to our family members and some day, hopefully not too far in the future, our kids will be telling their kids not only stories like how they walked to school uphill both…

10 Things You Didn't Know About Ann Hovdenes

  1. I love old cars, specifically 33-39 Chevys. 2. I bought my first motorcycle at 17, and I didn’t know how to ride it. My mom took me to the dealership. My boyfriend had to ride it home. 3. My husband and I own a 40 ft, 1963 school bus that we did a full conversion on. Willie G Davidson even signed the ceiling during the Sturgis Rally last year!!! 4. Why Biking Secretly Stinks

Written by
Let me tell you why biking secretly stinks... I have an adorable fat cat, a house, a husband, two hilarious children, a cool job, a pretty white Diamondback 29er, and 60 minutes of free time in the middle of my day that I can use for whatever I want. (I have other stuff too, it's just not really worth mentioning right now.) Some people call those 60 minutes a lunch break. I call it ME time. 10 Things You Didn't Know About Todd Fenster

Mountain biking makes me hoot/holler and smile really big. I love people who hoard (inside joke). I may be over 50, but I will never act like it. I once had a job in the mountains and flew to work in a helicopter every day. I’ve been married to my sweetheart  for 27 years. I’m kind of a “closet” gear head. I want to rent some Harleys and do a “Wild Hogs” kind of trip with my two boys. I was the wheelie king of Pinedale Elementary School, on my 20” Schwinn Stingray. When I was a kid I went…

"Yeah, it's cool, but where's the pedals?"

Thinking outside the box, and stepping outside of our comfort zone is something that makes STRIDER such a success. If we never tried anything new, we would never discover new things. If we never make ourselves uncomfortable, we would never force ourselves to face new challenges, and ultimately overcome them.  On that note, three of the women in our office took a motorcycle safety course this past weekend. Not because anyone made them, but because they wanted to try something new.  Here is the outcome... One of them, while she finished the course, will probably never ride a motorcycle…

Crash

Written by
A guest post from our very own Paul Elder. Inventory & Logistics Manager at Strider Sports International. Paul is the proud daddy of two rippin' STRIDER Riders, a hunter, he recently finished his first Marathon in Fort Collins, CO. Colorado Marathon, and has been an avid Mountain Biker since he starting working here at Strider. (Turns out we have that effect on people!)  To see Paul's full bio on our Strider Staff Page click HERE.   They call me "Crash". I'm a guy who rides a mountain bike. Definitely not to be confused with an actual mountain biker.    …
