Japanese STRIDER Commercial...Take Two!

Last month we posted this great animated commercial on our Facebook page.  It is being aired on the Japanese Cartoon Network and is a lot of fun to watch.

They are at it again! This time they've replaced the cartoons for highlights from their STRIDER Cup season and some very fun trick riding. This one is great because it shows riders all the way from beginners to some of their most advanced riders.

We can't wait to watch these great tricks and fast Strider Cup racers again at the 2012 STRIDER World Championship in Sarasota, FL!

Striding Around Tokyo

Strider Cup is the brain child of our Japanese distributors and Striders have really taken off in Japan as a result.  Every day we get videos and YouTube links sent with huge crowds of children riding their Striders.  When we stumbled on the YouTube video below we couldn't help but smile at the change of pace.

The two year old is taking a leisurely Stride through the city streets.  The music is infectious, He's got a great smile and after only two months on his green Strider he is getting more adventurous!

Strider Cup Japan!

We don't have all the specifics yet, but the photos and video from Strider Cup Japan are just too good not to share right away.  The event was held in niigata and was a huge success!  The kids were all very excited to race and the huge crowd had a lot of fun cheering them on.

One interesting thing about the Japanese riders is the amount of customization they do to their Striders.  The video has some footage riding around town, practicing at a local dirt park and then goes into the big Strider Cup race!

Strider feels privileged to be a small reprieve from the hard times occurring in Japan recently.  It is nice to see kids being kids and their family and friends cheering them on.

Our Thoughts and Prayers...

...go out to all of Japan today as they deal with this terrible disaster.  Below is an email Strider sent to the Strider Japan Team.  Please keep them and all of Japan in your thoughts in the weeks and months to come.

Dear Kazushi, Mathew and the entire Strider Japan Team,

We have seen the reports of the terrible events in Japan and our heart felt sympathy and prayers go out to all of you and all of Japan.  From our hearts we hope that everyone close to you and your team are safe and out of harms way.

In disasters of such incredible magnitude, there is no doubt that it will touch and affect all the Japanese people.  We hope that you feel the solidarity and support that your friends at Strider US are offering and sending to you from across the Pacific.  We wish you strength and resolve as you pull together as a nation to overcome the devastation that nature has brought upon you.  And we stand ready to help from afar in any way possible.

Please share our message and support with your team and let us know if there is anything we can do to help in the time ahead.
