Employment

Position: Web Developer
Location: Rapid City, SD

Strider Sports International, Inc. is the company behind the industry-leading Strider Balance Bikes (yeah, the little bikes without pedals that teach kids how to be incredibly awesome). It’s possible you might have heard of us. Our rapidly-expanding global headquarters is in Rapid City, SD, and we’re looking to add a Web Developer like yourself to join our team of work-hard, play-hard, change-the-world employees. If that sounds like you, and you enjoy workdays that fly by, keep reading. If this doesn’t sound like fun, we’d like to thank you for reading this far, but we probably won’t be a match. We’d also suggest you reconsider your priorities in life.

Are you a programming wizard? Can you take pieces of code, break them down, rearrange them and turn them into a completely amazing webpage? Do you enjoy writing code from scratch? Do you live for coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and creating digital masterpieces in PHP systems? Do you want the chance to program and use your Matrix-hacking skills for a company on a global scale? As a Web Developer with Jedi-level experience, you’ll take design concepts and marketing challenges and turn them into actionable results that help our customers, dealers, distributors, and partners engage with us more easily and efficiently. While these tasks will typically involve coding PHP-based systems, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (we mentioned this twice, hint hint), you might also work on integrating third party software through APIs, with scripts, or assisting with IT automation.

So, what might a workday at Strider look like for an expert like yourself? You might start off by writing predictive analytics code for our international Sales Portal. Maybe you’ll implement WordPress plugins or custom PHP code to support new business needs. Then you might move on to work with our marketing team on the best way to implement a layout for mobile compatibility across varying devices while keeping our desktop experience tip top.

If this sounds like you, we should talk.
