Host a Strider Camp

Strider Camp Instructors

“We were thrilled with the excitement that hosting a Strider balance bike clinic generated within our membership.   There was definitely a noticeable increase in the skills achieved by the participants in our balance bike clinic.  It was also fun for everyone involved – participants and volunteers alike.  We are looking forward to hosting another Strider balance bike clinic again in the future!”   Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia, Lauren Meurlin

According to Kim Burke, PT, MPT at Children’s Care Hospital and School in Rapid City, SD,

“Striders rock!!! Our Strider Camp at Children’s Care opened the door to riding for every child who participated in the bike camp. All the families have given me feedback that their children love to ride their Striders! What a great tool to utilize to increase balance, strength, and motor coordination for children.”

Strider Sports International, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of children’s no-pedal balance bikes, has created a new Learn to Ride Curriculum known as Strider Camp®. This turnkey kit comes complete with resources, visual aids, and lesson plans for five 1-hour sessions of hands-on learning, fun, and instruction.  The kit makes it easy for Strider Dealers, Educators, Parks & Recreation programmers, Therapists, and Parents to teach balance and riding skills to small groups.  Primarily intended for toddlers age 2-5 years old riding on 12” Strider bikes, the lesson plans work for participants of all abilities and can be used for older children with special needs by using the 16” and 20” Strider bikes. During the class, participants will increase balance, coordination, and gross motor skills, as well as gain a nice touch of confidence!  Upon completion of the course, participants will have an understanding of the parts of a bike and the skills necessary to balance and ride on two wheels.
